Guelph Named as First Canadian Elite Basketball League Team
With only one Canadian team left in the NBA, the Canadian Elite Basketball League is being founded to meet the growing demand for elite level basketball in Canada. Last week Guelph was named as the first city that will be the home to a CEBL team. The as of yet to be named team will play out of the Sleeman Centre and will the CEBL hoping to attract and sign some major international basketball talent to the league world class hoops should be coming to our region very soon. Young Cambridge Student Inspires Generous Donations to Local Food Banks

A young Cambridge student, Cameron Rego, challenged his friends to help him gather 500 food items to donate to local food banks to help meet increased seasonal demand. His friends rose to the challenge and then some, as the school has now collected 1,700 items and counting. Read More
